CEFS and CIBE (the International Confederation of European Beet Growers) have jointly published “The EU Beet and Sugar Sector: A Model of Environmental Sustainability”. This brochure has been complemented by a shorter leaflet that is available in English, French and German:

«Leaflet (6 pages - 1MB): The EU Beet and Sugar Sector: A Model of Environmental Sustaianbility (2009)»

«Tryptique (6pages - 1 MB): Secteur Betterave-Sucre et Environnement: un Modèle pour une Agriculture et une Industrie Durables (2009)»

«Broschüre (6 Seiten - 1 MB): Der europäische Zuckersektor: ein Modell der Ökologischen Nachhaltigkeit (2009)»

Back in 2003, CEFS and CIBE jointly published, for the first time, an environmental report to document their environmental objectives and achievements. The report explains the steps taken in recent years in order to protect the environment in both growing and processing sugar beet, and provides a detailed analysis of the environmental practices and standards implemented at that time.
