Corporate Social Responsibility - CEFS and the European Federation of Trade Unions in the Food, Agriculture and Tourism sectors (EFFAT) have engaged in a voluntary process on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and agreed on a Code of Conduct which sets minimum standards in eight areas. Collected examples of best practices are regularly updated and serve as an inspiration for companies. The Code of Conduct was launched on 7 February 2003, in presence of the European Commission. It came into effect on 1 January 2004 and since then it has been progressively implemented nationally. In addition, a CSR implementation report is presented each year at the end of February. Read the latest CSR Report. The German and French versions are available as well.
